Batonga 30 Day Dress Challenge: Day Twenty Two

the dress: as shirt // skirt/hat: forever 21 // cardigan: sister's closet

Welcome to my weather blog! Okay, it's not really a weather blog, but I've talked about the weather in pretty much every single post, and I'm going to again! Today has been warm, actually, with the sun shining in the morning, but now in the evening (and actually for the past couple of evenings) it's been cloudy and rainy, and actually the forecast calls for rain for the rest of this week and the next! D: Can't always believe those forecasts though ...

But on to the outfit! I find it incredibly awesome that my mom, my ten year old sister, and I can all wear the same clothes. My sister let me wear her cardigan, and I always let her wear this skirt. Our wardrobes are extended in every which direction but it's great because it's like having three closets! I'll be sad when I go to college because I'll have to give back some of their stuff, haha. Oh well.

Thank you to my little sister for taking my photos for me. I got a new tripod which makes taking photos a lot easier, but she actually likes taking my picture and it's faster and more fun with her, so I'm not complaining!

As always, please please donate to the Batonga Foundation today! They are an awesome organization that provides girls with a full education, which betters their entire life because they can go to college and get a job and better take care of a family. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much and have an awesome day!

day 142

My brother finally got a facebook and actually wanted me to take photos of him. Lauren, giving people awesome profile pictures one photo at a time.

But in all seriousness, I'm getting sick of gimp. It is pretty good, but I'm just aching to use photoshop again. Matt told me that he missed my conceptual photos and I do too. I guess my brain has just shifted from being 365 inclined to being 30 day dress challenge inclined (with a dash of graduation thrown in). It's not a bad thing because I've been loving the dress challenge, but I do miss coming up with a good concept for a 365 and actually doing it. Perhaps I'm also bitter about hardly ever having models to shoot. But I guess that's one of the downsides to taking a photo every single day--you don't have a closet full of people to just pick and choose from. That's one thing I'm excited about for summer though; I'm hoping to get lots of shoots in and meet more people and go on more adventures and just live life. It's my last summer in Alaska before college, so I'm going to milk it for all it's worth.

Well I think I'm beginning to ramble, plus it's almost time for bed, so I suppose I should stop typing and making spelling mistakes because I'm so tired.

Have an awesome day everyone!

Batonga 30 Day Dress Challenge: Day Twenty One

the dress: as skirt // sweatshirt: from parents // shoes: target

Today has been a lazy day, hence my lazy outfit. My grandparents bought my entire family sweatshirts with our name on it, so I've been wearing it pretty much 24/7. I ran a few errands with my grandparents and spent some time signing up for my classes for college. The fall is going to be super busy, but I am incredibly excited for college.

Please continue to donate the Batonga Foundation, which supports girls' education in Africa.

Graduation Party

Yesterday was the official graduation party put on by my school. Therefore it was pretty uneventful, but parents brought the food and my mom made her amazing macaroni and cheese, so the night was not lost.

My friends and I did just a little bit of exploring around the area and found these cool old bunkers. I wish we could still go inside them because they would have been so cool for photoshoots.

I wish the weather had been nicer (I swear I always talk about the weather on this blog ...). It was freezing! Man, the couple weeks of warm weather we had really turned me into a pansy when it comes to normal 50 degree Alaskan weather. Oh to be under clouds. (Currently though it's threatening to be sunny, so perhaps it will be warm yet.)
