a transfiguration

day 205

(click on the photo to view it really large)

Megan leaves me a mere two hours from now, but we were able to spend our last day running last minute errands and creating the above image together. I'm definitely going to miss her and her beautiful face!

preparation/representation

day 204

My dad came home from a four day fishing trip today, so our house has been smelling like fresh salmon and our dinner tasted just the same. It was another lazy day today; all Megan and I did was run out and get some pretty beads to make some pretty bracelets.

lazy day

day 203

Today seriously was an incredibly lazy day and I don't have much to show for it photo-wise. I'm somewhat aching to get back into the normal take-a-conceptual-photo-everyday thing but I am more than fine with taking a little break from spending hours glued to photoshop. It's good to take a break every once in a while. But this was a very fun day. The girls here at home sat around and watched P.S. I Love You (and I may or may not have cried every five minutes), then Megan and I decided to brave the wind and rain to go to coffee. Matt joined us after a little while, and eventually we all headed back home to eat yummy salmon patties. (My favorite!) Then I made a pie. Then we ate it. Then we played a card game that was so frustrating we all quit and decided to play a different frustrating game. Only Matt won that one. (Sssh don't tell him but I let him win. Okay, just kidding ... or am I?)

look up

day 202

Today we went to the Sea Life Center! I've been to this place so many times before, but it's always fun to go back and explore. Two years ago I made a video when we went before, and it's good to see that I've improved in my photography skills at least a little bit in two years!

edge of the earth

day 201

Today we headed back to one of the many glaciers in Alaska to go sledding. I felt really awesome carrying a sled down the trail; my mom said she just felt dumb. A crowd even gathered at the base of the glacier to watch me make my first trail down the snow. They probably thought we were crazy Alaskans. Psh, no way. But then again, whoever heard of sledding in July?
