Kylie and I braved the mosquitoes and rainy weather to produce this image. I experimented a bit with the color and am quite liking the result.

It's based upon this image from my first 365 project, all the way back in 2010:



It's amazing to see how much I've grown photography wise. (It's super ironic though because I'm currently wearing the same jacket that I wore in that photo!)

Right now I'm at a coffee shop, doing some blog work and photo work. I really enjoy the atmosphere of coffee shops. The smell of coffee, the soft hum of people chatting, the general feeling of importance as you type away at your laptop keys (c'mon, you know if you take your work to a coffee shop you feel important).

Well here it is! My very first ebay purchase! What drew me to this piece was the fun print. I've been wanting to add more color to my wardrobe, as well as more separates, and though this is a dress, I think it's a perfect transition piece. Plus it was only $5. Oh the joys of ebay.






These nails took forever to do. Each little triangle is tape I cut and stuck onto the nail. Do you know how hard it is to line everything up perfectly? But it was totally worth it. I love the crazy design.

Sorry this blog has been pretty quiet these past two days. I have done nothing worthy to mention in writing; it was basically a repeat of yesterday's events. I guess I'm just tired of being tired but there's no motivation to do anything. It's so boring around the house and there are very few people to hang out with over the summer; everyone seems to be busy with other things.

I'm tentatively working on a new blog design, but being the person that I am, it's proving difficult to come up with something I like, which leaves me frustrated, but leaving my blog looking the way it is is also frustrating. I just need an aesthetic change. The change will definitely be more sunny than this cold, wintry theme I seem to have going on. But the actual weather in Alaska has turned gloomy and being cooped up in the house makes me not want to do anything, which is also frustrating because I need to do something.

What a sleepy day. I didn't do much. Edited a few photos. Ate some food. Watched some tv. Slept and slept and slept. I like relaxing days (and this one was much needed), but I'm about ready to get up and be busy again.
