day 72
Spent a nice evening with my dear. We went to go see Act of Valor, which made me very proud of my dad for being a part of the military, really glad that he is now retired, and really glad that Matt doesn't want to be in the military. I could never do what my dad did, and I am forever proud to have him as my father.
day 71
color version:
I don't like this. I wish I could go out and reshoot this photo .. perhaps I might tomorrow (but I probably won't). That's the thing about photography, some days you come away with amazing photos, the other days you don't. Thankfully when you experience some bad days you know that better ones are to come.
And you get to read an outfit post about this outfit tomorrow!
skirt: forever 21 // dress (as shirt): forever 21 // shirt: Matt (boyfriend) // leggings: urban vibe // shoes: thrift store/diy
I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to the nintendo game Legend of Zelda (where my outfit title comes from). I haven't played all the games, but much of my childhood can be linked (har har) back to the games. It is a very inspiring story and the games are just captivating (I'm looking at wind waker and ocarina of time and twilight princess). As a kid I drew a lot of inspiration and creativity from the characters and plots and landscapes, and Legend of Zelda will always hold a special place in my heart.
Matt recently purchased a whole bunch of new clothes, so he let me keep a couple of his old pieces. I especially wanted to keep this beige shirt not only because I like it, but because he always wore it with his Radiohead shirt, which holds a lot of memories of when I first met him and consequently started liking him. It's funny how clothes hold such sentimental value--and I just couldn't let him get rid of the shirt!
I purchased these leggings at a "new" store in the mall (new for me because I never go to the mall to shop, and when I do it's only to forever 21) and I have been having the worst time trying to style them. I thought they would go with a lot of things in my closet; pink, blue, and beige, how hard is that? That's what I thought. I came close to convincing myself to return them, but then I was so fed up with the leggings that I tried one more outfit with them ... and bam! It was magic. I'm either going to have to keep working on styling them with other things in my closet, or they may still end up being returned. Sad, because they are so fun! We shall see how the crazy leggings' fate unfolds.
Here's a question, how would you style them?
As always, have a very fabulous day and keep on smiling!
It's spring break, yahoo! :)
